Barneys Pineapple Chunk Feminized

Barneys Pineapple Chunk Feminized

Barneys Farm Pineapple Chunk Feminized cannabis is an excellent cross between Barneys classic Pineapple and a super potent Cheese phenotype of Skunk #1. The outcome is a very stable plant that is vigorous and high yielding. Barneys Pineapple Chunk Feminized marijuana is tolerant of most growing conditions as well as being resistant to fungi and disease, making it a great choice for the first time grower.

Pineapple Chunk Strain Information

Bred by the world-famous Barney’s Farm, Pineapple Chunk is an indica-dominant strain with an incredible THC content! Yup, you read right: This indica is not like most! There is, in fact, very little CBD in this strain and users report highly cerebral effects, resulting in powerful stress-relieving properties. However, this is not an ideal strain to help you with medicinal conditions, as its high concentration of psychoactive THC may have adverse effects, especially on mental disorders such as anxiety and insomnia.

In addition to offering an exciting high, this strain is also a great choice for growers of all levels. The plant is very forgiving to mistakes and can flower in less than two months indoors. It’s disease and mold resistant, meaning that you can easily plant it outdoors and Barney’s have recently incorporated some ruderalis into the lineage, so autoflowering varieties are available.

Pineapple Strain Heritage

Pineapple Chunk is a combination of three popular strains, Cheese and Skunk#1 with the original Barney’s Pineapple. The lineage of the Chunk can be traced through its smell, as fruity and sweet pineapple undertones combine with the tangy and sour smell of Skunk and Cheese.

What’s interesting about this strain is that while it is dominated by indica genetics, it offers insanely cerebral effects. This is due to an interesting choice of genetics with a long and illustrious history.

Pineapple

The original pineapple was created by Sensi Seeds out of an F2 phenotype of ERSB (Ed Rosenthal Super Bud), which is an indica variety with a focus on sedative effects.  The resulting strain was a predominantly indica strain with strong mental and physical effects, that became widely popular as a recreational choice.

The distinctive tropical aroma makes this strain a joy to consume in a joint or in edible form. Overall, Pineapple is a uniquely refreshing strain that spawned countless hybrids, many of which we cover in this article.

Cheese

Cheese is one of the best known U.K. exports since the 1980s. Its unique flavor and relaxing effects have earned it a place among the most popular strains in the world. Like Pineapple Chunk, Cheese also descends from a Skunk #1 lineage. However, a long time has passed since Cheese was first introduced to the growing world. Breeders like Big Buddha seeds have introduced new genetics to it in order to increase potency and yield.

Skunk #1

If there ever was a cannabis strain that didn’t need any introductions even among people who don’t know the first thing about growing, it is Skunk #1. Bred for the first time more than 30 years ago in the Netherlands, this immensely popular strain combines genetics from all over the world: Strains from South and Central America, Thailand, and Afghanistan were combined to produce an indica-dominant cannabis strain that would write its own history.

Skunk #1 became an industry standard and was bred into countless hybrid varieties that bear its genetics. Its smell is so distinct, that “skunky” is its own word among cannabis enthusiasts. The sativa/indica ratio is 35:65, meaning that this is a strain you want to use in times of relaxation.

Taste, Smell And Effect

Barneys Pineapple Chunk has an earthy aroma with a distinct Pineapple twist. The taste reflects this and is a unique combination of sweet citrus and Cheesy Skunk. When smoked, Barneys Pineapple Chunk weed is one of the most potent strains of cannabis available.

With THC levels in some individuals being measured at 25%, mixed with high CBD levels, Barneys Pineapple Chunk is a “sit down and get comfy” weed. Its extremely psychoactive effect will most likely leave you unable to complete any demanding tasks, so save this smoke for a movie night or a gathering with fellow stoner friends. Pineapple Chunk is best enjoyed when there is absolutely nothing to do, so take it easy. Don’t plan on moving for a while.

Medicinal users should be aware that this strain has a small amount of CBD, meaning that is might not be suitable as an anxiolytic. THC has the tendency to put people on edge, so make sure you are comfortable before smoking. It can, however, help with alleviating pain and fighting depression. Strains with insane amounts of THC are not a good solution for insomnia or people with PTSD.

Pineapple Chunk Awards

Pineapple Chunk is a High Times Cannabis Cup winner in 2009. THC levels have tested between 16 and 26% and CBD levels generally sit around 1 percent.

How does this strain react to cropping/super cropping?

  2. mrmax4mill says:

if i would have known it would take 13 weeks and counting to harvest i would have never ordered any. We need more honesty!!

  3. Santosh says:

I have searched on the internet and most of what I find writes about as if they’re teaching you to grow a field of this stuff illegally(I have my medical marijuana card).
Questions:How often should they be watered? What are the best fertilizers, climate conditions, and bug and fungicide controls? How long dose it take for the buds to mature? What’s the best way to prune them? Can you cut the buds off a certain way that saves the plant and will allow it to bud again? I live in Palm Desert(a desert^_^) just to let you know what the weather is like here. Cold December through mid march, perfect mid-March to May, blazing hot June to September, starts cooling(90-80 degrees) down in October and November.
All right, I’d really appreciate your answers, and thank you for at least reading this if you don’t have answers ^_^I really just want these questions I have here answered. Thanx for your guys’ help so far though ^_^
